Laser vein reduction uses focused light to break up broken blood vessels, allowing them to be absorbed back into the body. It is most commonly used to eliminate spider veins.
Laser vein elimination is ideal for people who are self-conscious about veins on their legs or face. The therapy works best on small to medium-sized blood vessels.
During the treatment, a handpiece is passed over the target area, causing the blood vessels to coagulate and then be absorbed by the body.
After the treatment, you may experience redness, bruising, or blistering of the skin. These side effects will typically subside within a few weeks. Downtime is usually just one or two days. Be sure to protect the treated area from sun exposure until fully healed.
Laser vein treatments often require multiple sessions. Not all veins may respond to the initial treatment, and new veins may develop over time, requiring additional treatments.
